Merger or acquisition?
American Airlines and US Airways, two of the largest airlines in the world, decided to merge. If this merger is authorized by the US government, it would create the world’s largest airline company and would be worth $11bn. Been dealing with law suits for quite a while, they finally found a settlement with the US regulators. However the settlement still needs approval. The upcoming months will be determining.
