UBS Outlook talks about how alpine tourism is doing in Switzerland. We explain what a coopetition is, how it works and report the advantages and drawbacks.
A coopetition is good as it will help to attract tourists in the destination. The whole line of services (hotel, restaurant, cableway) must be effective; otherwise it will fail at some point. For example, if you have a good hotel, but the ski passes are too high, then tourists won’t come back. So there are consequences for every services.
